The Maintenance for The Euro VI SCR Aftertreatment system

The SCR aftertreatment system is the importent part on deal with the Exhaust emission for the vehicle whole engine system. Accompany  with the National standard/the Euro standard for the vehile update ,the requirement of Exhaust emission become more and more strict; so that it’s also cause some problem on the SCR Aftertreatment system.

Today Let’s share some case of the problem and it’s solution methods.

1Pipeline crystallization

fault analysis: Pipeline crystallization is one of the  common problem for the vehicle owners, When the vehicle switch on or off, the urea dosing pump and the pipe usually exist the remaining urea liquid.so the urea dosing pump will begin to clean up the remaining urea liquid as the vehicle switch off. but when the heat effort is not work well during the clean up process.this will cause the Pipeline crystallization problem.

The solution method:the problem can be solve through  heating the pipe by using the hot water or directly extract  the pipe to clean up the remaining urea liquid during the emergency situation.and at the same moment, vehicle also had better not switch off the power totatlly when the vehicle stop;so that the give more time for the cleaning up the remaining urea liquid.

2 Urea Nozzle sprayer Blocking: The reason of the Urea Nozzle Sprayer blocking is mainly because of the urea liquid is not reached standard requirement.The Impurity in the urea liquid accumulated  in the entrance of the urea nozzle sprayer, which cause urea liquid injected system working abnormally.

The solution method: please take notice not clean the blocking problem by simply handly operation.but we can put the urea nozzle sprayer into the boiled water for a while, for the urea liquid will be dissolved in the water with temperture 70C~75C.the entrance of the urea nozzle sprayer will be clean up well in 30 minutes in the boiled water.and in order to avoide this kinds of problem, it’s important to use the standard urea liquid.

3The filter blocking problem: this problem is also cause by the impurity in the unqualified urea liquid.and the screening effect of filter will infulent the cleanness degree of the urea liquid in the extrance of urea nozzle sprayer.

The solution method: change a new filter or take the filter out to clean by hand in emergency situation.
