Engine Turbocharger Functions Usage Precautions. The part number of this turbocharger is XD25T5-1118010A, and the OE part number is 1444800004-1. It is a specially designed component for the XD25T5 engine and is suitable for vehicles equipped with this engine.
As a core component of the engine intake system, it can effectively increase the engine’s air intake, enhance power output, and optimize fuel combustion efficiency.
This turbocharger is certified by the original equipment manufacturer, ensuring stable and reliable quality. It meets various procurement needs, such as aftermarket maintenance and replacement or matching with complete vehicles, making it an ideal part for downstream auto parts distributors and repair shops.
1. More power and better fuel economy: exhaust gas spins a turbine that pushes extra air into the cylinders, so the engine makes more power without getting bigger.
2. High-altitude help: an electric wastegate stays closed at high altitude, keeping boost pressure up. Torque is about 10 % higher on mountain roads. In tests at 4,781 m, power loss was much smaller.
3. Stronger and longer life: a high-torque motor handles frequent engine braking. The electric actuator passed 70 million cycles. There are fewer hot, moving parts than a variable-geometry turbo, so less chance of sticking.
4. Clean exhaust: meets Euro 5 and Euro 6. It keeps exhaust temperatures in the right range so the catalyst works well.

♦ Clean parts: wipe all parts with a lint-free cloth. Make s
ure the air filter and pipes are not dirty or blocked.
♦ New gaskets: use only fresh gaskets. Do not reuse old ones or use liquid sealant.
♦ Pre-lube: pour clean engine oil into the turbo and turn the impeller by hand until the bearings are wet.
♦ Bearings and seals: put the floating bearing in with the oil groove facing the right way. Stagger the seal ring gaps 180°. Do not bend or break them.
♦ Torque: tighten the lock nut to 15 ± 1 Nm. Join the turbine housing to the centre housing at 26 ± 1 Nm (32 ± 1 Nm for HX35). Watch the left-hand thread.
♦ Balance: line up the balance marks on the compressor wheel. Heat the wheel if you need to.
♦ Oil filter: fit a new filter and fill it with clean oil. Particles must be ≤ 30 µm. Use CH-4 or better (e.g., CH15W-40).
♦ Return pipe: keep it straight and free of kinks. The outlet must sit above the oil pan level so oil can drain back easily.
♦ After starting, let it idle for 3-5 minutes and wait until the oil pressure stabilizes at 2 kgf/cm² before applying load, to avoid bearing wear due to lack of lubrication.
♦ After long-term storage or an oil change, the engine needs to be manually rotated to pre-lubricate the turbocharger.
♦ Oil Pressure and Temperature: During operation, the oil pressure should be maintained at 2-4 kgf/cm², the oil temperature should not exceed 120°C, and the turbine end temperature should be below 700°C.
♦ Abnormal Noise Inspection: If the turbocharger makes abnormal noises or vibrations, it should be shut down immediately for inspection to prevent debris from entering the cylinder and causing serious damage.
♦ Avoid operating the engine at full throttle or maximum torque speed continuously for more than 30 seconds to prevent overheating and component fatigue.
♦ After running at full load, gradually reduce the speed. Idle for 3-5 minutes before shutting down to ensure the turbocharger cools.
♦ Do not turn off the engine immediately: shutting down suddenly under high temperatures can cause the bearings to run dry and seize. It is recommended to install a turbo timer to delay engine shutdown.
♦ Fuel system cleaning: Regularly clean the oil pipes and the inside of the turbocharger to prevent carbon buildup and oil coking blockages.
♦ Air filter maintenance: A clogged air filter can cause excessive negative pressure on the compressor side, leading to oil leakage or impeller damage. It is recommended to replace it every 8,000 kilometers.
♦ Oil leaks and unusual noises: A dirty air filter or a blocked return oil pipe are common causes, so regular inspection and replacement of the filter element are necessary.
♦ High-temperature spontaneous combustion risk: Avoid splashing oil onto the high-temperature turbine housing and regularly check the oil pipe seals.
♦ Blade damage: Before installation, thoroughly clean the intake and exhaust pipelines to prevent foreign objects from entering and damaging the blades.
